OUR STORY

BRC was born during a partners gathering on Blair Road in Singapore, a street surrounded by amazing historical shophouses.

The eclectic mixture of Chinese, Malay & European design elements, sparked the idea of a wealth preservation company in Singapore.

THE INFLUENCES

Chinese Influence

The Chinese influence on the architectural styles is seen in:

a courtyard plan inside the house
a round-gable at the end of the pitched roofs
bat wing-shaped air vents above the first-storey windows
friezes of coloured ceramic chips featuring dragon, phoenix and flower motifs

Malay Influence

The Malay influence is visible in the timber fretwork of the roof eaves, fascia boards and balustrades design.

European Influence

The European influence is evident in the fanlights, French windows, Portuguese jalousie (shuttered windows), plasterworks, panelled pintu besar  or main doors) and pintu pagar  or door gate.

British Colonial Influence

British colonial influence is represented by the Corinthian pilasters on the upper storeys.

AT BRC

The Chinese and Malay influences are South East Asia, as the two founders have been living in Singapore for more than two decades combined. For them, the European influence comes from their deep Swiss roots and traditional banking education.
